Leaders as Teachers

This session will focus on how to develop a manager and leadership course continuum that begins when people first begin managing others and goes throughout all career stages to the executive level. Based on lessons learned in designing, developing and delivering multiple courses throughout the employee lifecycle, Pattie and her team will describe how they implemented the various programs and lessons learned along the way. From this you will learn how to effectively rely on a leader as teacher model, how to include relationship building as a core component and how to include interactivity to create engagement.

Speaker: Pattie Whitmer, JE Dunn

Pattie is the Vice President of Learning and Development. She has been with JE Dunn since 2008 and after spending a year in Operations moved to take the national learning and development leader position. Pattie earned her Masters of Education specializing in Adult Education. She believes that learning is a life-long process and dedicates herself to developing and delivering programs that help employees improve their performance and grow in their careers.
