Experiential Learning for Extraordinary Managers

As Talent Development professionals, we know it can be a difficult transition from peer to manager. Even experienced managers can struggle to make the right decisions when it comes to implementing people practices in the best possible ways. How can organizations better prepare their employees in an increasingly fast-paced world with greater demand for higher-EQ managers?

In this hands-on, interactive session, we will explore how to integrate experiential learning into a new or existing program with the following components: Read, Watch, Listen, Meet, and Do. The result is more prepared managers and a stronger company culture of connectedness. Participants will walk away with a framework for a program for their employees that is self-guided, just-in-time, and easy to keep relevant over time. We walk through the ADDIE process, while challenging more “old-school” Manager Learning options that companies currently tend to deploy.

Megan Galloway is a talent development and culture leader at nbkc bank. She believes all companies can unlock fulfillment and engagement for their people with the right tools and conversations.
