Morning Session (8:30 am to 12 noon):
Getting Started with Rise

Rise—which is part of the Articulate 360 suite of authoring tools—is one of the newest and easiest-to-use tools to help you create and manage mobile responsive eLearning projects.

During this half-day, hands-on workshop, you’ll learn how to use Rise to create responsive eLearning courses that look just as great on tablets and mobile devices as they do on desktops. We’ll start by discussing the basics of mobile responsiveness and familiarizing you with the Rise interface. Next, you’ll learn how to create a Rise project from scratch, how to create custom lessons with multiple types of media and interactions, and how share and export your Rise course.

After attending this workshop, you’ll learn how to:

  • Navigate the Rise interface.
  • Create a new Rise course.
  • Create and managing lessons
  • Add various types of text, multimedia, and interactivity to lessons.
  • Customize theme, navigation, and label settings.
  • Share and export your Rise project.

Who should attend this workshop?

This workshop is ideal for those who have never used Rise. To participate in this workshop, participants will need a laptop with an internet connection and a subscription (or trial) to Articulate 360.

Afternoon Session (1:00 pm to 4:30 pm):
    Articulate Storyline: Advanced Techniques

Courses built in Articulate Storyline can be as simple or complicated as you want them to be. Getting up and running with Articulate Storyline is pretty easy; however, as you start wanting to design more intricate types of e-learning content, you quickly discover there’s usually more than one way to do the same thing. This could leave you feeling overwhelmed and wondering which way is the right way.

During this half-day, hands-on workshop, you’ll take your fundamental knowledge of Articulate Storyline and learn how to further your abilities by applying advanced techniques.

After attending this workshop, you’ll learn how to:

    • Create a locked course menu with conditional triggers and variables.
    • Create a personalized eLearning course using conditional triggers and variables to let learners enter their name and select a character.
    • How to gamify an eLearning course with a gameboard, badges, and quiz questions.
    • How to use conditional triggers and variables to create a custom drag-and-drop interaction.

    Who should attend this workshop?

This workshop is ideal for those who have a working knowledge of Articulate Storyline, including use of the Timeline, basic Triggers, Layers, and States. To participate in this workshop, participants will need a laptop with an internet connection and Articulate Storyline 2, 3, or 360 installed (trial versions acceptable).
