September Hybrid Chapter Meeting -

Campfire Coffee Chats: The Art and the Social Science of Developing Community

Program Description:

With the new hybrid model of many offices, Talent Specialists are scrambling to figure out ways to Develop Community, something that happened more naturally in face-to-face environments. Megan Galloway, Head of Growth at Campfire, began hosting Campfire Coffee Chats in May of 2022, and they’ve proven to be very successful in Developing Community.

Laura Janusik, owner of Listening to Change, LLC, Campfire Coffee chat participant, and research geek has been fascinated by the model since its inception. Join Megan and Laura for an explanation as to the art and social science of this model, and then discuss ways that the model might be adapted to your organization.

Learning Objectives for this program:

  • Participants will understand the Art of the Coffee chat as well as the Social Science that supports it in terms of Developing Community
  • Participants will discuss different models of Developing Community
  • Participants will identify one action they can take at their organization to Build Community
