Program Description

PowerPoint usually gets a bad rap but it’s full of amazing features every learning professional can use. From quickly performing image edits in lieu of Photoshop or screencasting and creating video compositions, PowerPoint can do it all. By attending this session, you will walk away with a handy job aid of tricks and tips to unleash your creativity and get may tasks done without expensive, fancy software.

Speaker Bio

Alexander Salas is learning experience and eLearning designer with 15 plus years of experience specializing in the blend of learning technologies and gamification for performance outcomes. He’s a United States Navy combat veteran who served along 3rd Battalion 6th Marines in Afghanistan in 2001. After service in the Navy, Alex has worked in every facet of corporate learning and performance enablement for Fortune 100 enterprises such as Philips, Centene Corporation and Dell Technologies. He has accumulative experience in several Healthcare, IT, and Sales verticals. When he’s not creating amazing learning experiences, you can find Alex giving back to the community at large with articles, workshops, conferences, and hosting the StyleLearn Origins podcast.

Learning Objectives

Learning professionals will complete mini-challenges to perform at least three tasks presented and provide ideas of their use at the workplace.

Enabling Objectives:

  1. Recognize image compression, resizing, export formats available.
  2. Differentiate amongst PowerPoint 365 and client-based capabilities.
  3. Examine the application of at least 3 features presented to daily workflows.
This session has been approved for recertification credits by the Association for Talent Development.
