Whether you are brand new to your role or a season pro, critical thinking is a ticket to success. So, what’s the secret sauce that turns regular thinking into game-changing problem solving? It’s creativity! The power of creativity takes your critical thinking skills to a whole new level. We’ll look together at the three elements you and your team need for creativity and critical thinking. Then, we’ll jump into unleashing your imagination and participate in our own creative brainstorming.
SPEAKER BIO
Sally Koppy holds a Master of Science in Education degree and is a certified professional in talent development (CPTD®). She works as a Training Development Manager at Optum, a subsidiary of UnitedHealth Group. She has provided professional talent development, leadership and management development, institutional advancement, and program development for the past 20 years.
As Director of Credentialing, Sally is responsible for supporting ATD certification candidates who are testing for either the Certified Professional of Talent Development (CPTD) or Associate Professional of Talent Development (APTD) designation. Collaborating with a team, she offers a study group series to broaden talent development skills and knowledge using the ATD Capability Model.
Sally has been a member of the ATD Kansas City (ATDKC) board since 2011 and has served as President, VP of Finance, and VP of Programs. From 2016 to 2018, she also served on the ATD National Advisor for Chapters board. Sally shares that the ATDKC has provided her with an incredible network of talent development professionals and learning opportunities. She is committed to the chapter and intends to continue leading, energizing, and engaging the chapter's members and board of directors. In her personal life,
Sally is married to her childhood sweetheart and has three daughters and eight grandchildren. She enjoys travel, hiking, camping, and motorcycling in her free time.
