eLearning Video Challenge | Produce like a pro – from your smart phone!

Video and other creative solutions have become essential as we all adapt to the new realities of COVID-19. In our second quarter eLearning SIG, we’ll focus on one way of tackling the current situation: Quick-turn video – produced with your smartphone!

And we’ll do it in a hands-on fashion: By challenging you to make your OWN short video, and submit it to share in our online meeting. To recognize your hard work, we’ll vote for the best video in several fun categories:

  • Best overall
  • Most creative
  • Most humorous
  • Most likely to get noticed and make it in Hollywood

Sound good? Ready to show off your skills and creativity? See the directions below!

  1. Register for this event
  2. Check out this video, courtesy of Taylor Sloan, Video Producer at Black & Veatch
  3. Prep, produce, and post (edit) your own masterpiece!
  4. (KISS) Keep it short, Sammy: Approximately 3 minutes

  12. Send link to video to Carol Ann Sirokman and Shawn Reid by Tuesday, July 14
Note: You may need to send two emails
  13. Videos will be played in our July 16 SIG meeting; register to catch your video’s debut and VOTE on the fun categories

  • Submit as many videos as you want (based on number submitted, may only play 1 from each person)
  • One video can win in multiple categories

Fair warning: In the meeting, the hosts will ask you to give a brief introduction to your video (think “elevator pitch”) before playing it.

Important: You'll receive the Webex link for this event in your registration confirmation and reminders! Make sure to add it to you calendar.
