November Chapter Meeting - Virtual
The 4 B's that Help Leaders Avoid Burnout

Program Description:
The holidays are upon us! It’s the perfect opportunity to recharge and make the most of those well-deserved time off. But according to research, more than half of leadership admit to working long hours during the holiday season.
Not taking time away leads to burnout.
According to a recent poll of over 700 professionals, nearly 62% of managers admitted to experiencing burnout. As leaders, it's essential for us to prioritize our well-being and proactively take steps to prevent burnout.
As a leader, what steps are you taking to avoid burnout?
If you aren't sure how to answer that question, I invite you to join us at the next ATD KC chapter meeting where we will dive into the 4 B's: Beliefs Balance Boundaries Break the silence!
Join us as we will dive into the meaning of each “B” and provide you with strategies to avoid burning out!
Learning Objectives for this program:
- Explore your beliefs
- Practice balance
- Set boundaries
- Break the silence when you need support
Speaker Bio:

Meet Rachel Schell, a seasoned L&D professional dedicated to empowering her peers to excel in leadership roles. With a career spanning back to 2008, Rachel's passion for L&D led her to develop herself as a designer and developer. This included earning a master’s degree from the University of Central Arkansas, as well as another master’s from Southern New Hampshire University. Not to mention certifications in multiple software.
However, she soon realized that transitioning to leadership required a distinct set of skills beyond instructional design and development.
Motivated by this realization, Rachel founded "Emerging Leaders in L&D" in 2022, a thriving community comprising over 700 L&D professionals embarking on their leadership journey. Through this platform, members foster invaluable connections, exchange resources, and provide unwavering support to one another.
