Wendy Gates Corbett, CPTD, is the best-selling author of The Energy of Belonging: 75 Ideas to Spark Workplace Community, a belonging researcher, global keynote speaker, and adjunct professor of leadership at Duke University. Her groundbreaking research on the behaviors that build belonging in workplace communities has reached more than 175,000 people worldwide through keynotes and consulting engagements with organizations including CarMax, Blue Cross and Blue Shield, and Marriott International. She is a longtime leader in ATD locally, nationally, and internationally. Her local chapter has named its leadership award in her honor.

Wendy is widely recognized as a leading voice on belonging at work, including serving as the Inclusion SME for ATD’s most recent Body of Knowledge. Known for her infectious energy and passion on stage, she delivers programs that are actionable and practical, giving audiences concrete tools they can use immediately, not abstract theory. Her drive for this work is deeply personal: as a biracial adopted child growing up in New York, she learned early that belonging isn't a given. It's something we create together.
