AI Use CASES IN LEARNING & DEVELOPMENT

Event Description

Join members of the ATD Kansas City Learning Technologies Special Interest Group for a panel discussion on how artificial intelligence is actually being used in talent development today. Panelists will share concrete use cases from their own organizations — what they tried, what worked, what did not, and what they would do differently. The emphasis is on practical application rather than theory or hype.

All ATD KC members and prospective members with an interest in learning technologies are welcome to attend.

There is no cost to attend. Registration is required in order to receive the Zoom link.

Program Description

This session is a moderated panel discussion. Panelists representing a range of organizations and roles will walk through real AI use cases in learning and development — including content development, needs analysis, coaching and practice, translation and accessibility, data and reporting, and administrative support. The moderator will guide the conversation through how each use case was selected, how success was measured, and where guardrails and governance came into play. Time will be reserved at the end for audience questions.

Learning Objectives

By the end of this guide, learners will be able to:

  • Hear concrete, real-world examples of AI use cases in learning and talent development
  • Learn how panelists evaluated and prioritized which use cases were worth pursuing
  • Understand common pitfalls, limitations, and lessons learned from early AI adoption
  • Explore approaches to data privacy, quality review, and responsible use guardrails
  • Identify AI use cases that may be a fit for their own organization and next steps to test them

    Panelists

The panel will feature practitioners applying AI in a range of learning and talent development settings:

    • Kelly Zamboni, Federal Reserve Bank, Kansas City
    • Chad McRae, Federal Reserve Bank, Kansas City
    • Dan Jensen, University of Central Missouri
