Employee Learning Week

WHAT COULD IT LOOK LIKE WHERE YOU WORK?

Every December, ATD chapters and organizations across the country celebrate Employee Learning Week (ELW) — a time to recognize the importance of learning at work and inspire creative ways to build skills, share knowledge, and grow together.

Here in Kansas City, we’re asking a simple question: What could a learning day or week look like in your organization?

Employee Learning Week doesn’t have to mean a big event or a full week of programs. It’s really about creating space for learning — in whatever way fits your culture.

Maybe that’s a:

    • “Teach Me Something” swap
    • Coffee talk or lunch & learn to learn from each other
    • Learning wall or digital board
    • Employees offer lunch and learn on how to do something they do as a hobby
    • Community learning connection
However you do it, ELW is a great opportunity to:
    • Celebrate the learners and mentors who make your organization stronger.
    • Reinforce a culture of curiosity and growth.
    • Try something new — even something small — that gets people connecting and learning together.

Head over to our

  • What does learning look like in your organization today?
  • What’s one new way you could celebrate learning in 2025 or plan for an Employee Learning Day or Week in 2026?
  • Who helps make learning happen where you work?

Let’s use Employee Learning Week as a spark — to celebrate what’s already happening and imagine what’s possible next.
